Time in Nature
One of the essentials in life is spending time in nature. If you are a person always busy at work, home and other social obligations, you might say: I only spend time in nature during the weekend.
But for me personally, spending time in nature is like sinking in Allah’s unlimited love, blessings, comfort, acceptance and warmth. In a life set-up like ours where you spend half of your day at work and barely get any left-over energy for your home and kids, nature can be one of the best relaxing and decluttering tool in your mental toolbox.
You might say: I don’t have time. I am too busy. I need to finish tasks. My kids have exams. My home needs cleaning. My family is waiting for me. Well unfortunately time in nature is one of the greatest blessings and gifts we are missing to live and experience.
If you are tight, sad, depressed, frustrated, confused, worried or lonely, just go outside. Pick yourself a natural place like your backyard, a playground, around the neighbourhood, the beach or somewhere on the hills. Don’t just go there driving, but have a walk there and really sink in its flavours and magic. Experience it as if you are seeing it for the first time. Smell its fragrances. Feel its ground. Breath its fresh air. Observe the people there. What are they doing.
Doing this practice daily for 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour would eventually make you realize the stresses and tensions you are holding are not worth it. Life is precious and it is worth living it to the maximum.
