Outreach versus Isolate

Those two terms are dear to me but I complicate using them.

Outreach is you reaching out to people for whatever reasons like catching up, having conversations, exchanging thoughts and ideas and expressing problems and feelings.

Coming to the word isolate, it means to close of. You disconnect yourself from the world. You lose trust in others. You lose hope in the human connection. Or it is just the trauma you faced is too severe for you to go out there and connect with others.

Now you maybe wondering: When to outreach and when to isolate? Well there is no definite white and black answer here. It depends on the context and nature of the scenario you are in.

For example your context is: You are broke. You are full of financial problems. You see yourself stuck and don’t know where to go and what to do. In such a situation, you may need to outreach trustworthy people whom can give you suggestions or a broad outlook of your problem.

Using the same example but with slightly different background: People keep telling you what to do. They interfere with your financial decisions. You run out of cash because you try to satisfy people around you. Then after all this, it could be a practical idea to isolate yourself in this situation to understand better what is it you are doing. Does it make any sense to you. What could you do to make the situation serve you better instead of against you.

It is interesting to look at those terms objectively and understand when and how to use them.
