Being Understood Mentally and Emotionally

When having a conversation with any person, there is this lens / filter we use. It is the mental and emotional lens. Each one of us has it but use it differently according to the knowledge we have.

For instance, your mental and emotional lens could be: I have got my individual needs. I gotta stay grounded. My sense of self needs to be nurtured and flourished. Because of that I feel tired, bored, exhausted, moody and easily triggered. Why? Because I neglected my individual needs for so long.

In the above example, your mental and emotional worlds are not aligned. From the mental stand point, you believe in yourself. You perceive your individual needs to be important.

However, from the emotional perspective, because you haven’t taken any action to satisfy your mental perception, you are emotionally drained. You feel tired, angry, burned out and gloomy most of the time.

It is great to do this process from time to time to understand why you feel the way you do and what actions you can take today to align both your mental and emotional realms.
