How to be in full service?

We work. We have got our daily job tasks we get to do. I really like this idea I learned about being in full service and contribution when we work and interact.

It is not just a job you get to do for an exchange of a salary you receive end of the month. It is the impact you get to create, the difference you get to make and the problem you get to solve.

Reflecting on this idea and asking: How to be in full service, look at your job for a moment. What are the daily tasks you need to do? Who are the people you interact with? What are your personal values when doing that job task? What are your intentions? What motivates and drives you to do it? This would show you your centre and where you stand in relationship with your daily job.

After knowing your internal perspective towards your job, how could you be in full service and contribution? We live in a world now where hardly you find a person truly and genuinely cares about the job. It is mostly the salary received and the external benefits.

I personally like to answer this question by checking the needs of people you serve. What they need? What they seek for? What are the stories that run in their minds? What are the struggles and life challenges they face? Accordingly you tune and adjust your work to align with serving the needs of those people.

At the end, this is very humbling and down to earth doing this process. It removes the fake behaviours and pretends. It shifts you from the external focus and takes you to the root where minority pay attention to.
