From Academician to Writer
Who expected that this is the route I would take in my career one day?
I started my academic career in April 2010. I thought that’s it and that was what I am meant to be doing.
But then later, with me being attracted so much to the self-made education and hands on experience, I gradually came off the common traditional career route (what majority in my circle are doing). And found myself in the self-made path writing self-help books, making a business of selling my books and leading a community of people who share common and similar interests and challenges.
To be honest with you, it is not easy. You find people looking at you strangely and can’t make sense of you. You observe individuals finding it blizzard to quite the traditional career route and create your own terms and system.
But what is best in all this is you get to find the thing that adds spark, passion and interest in what you do. This gives you personal ownership. Because the staff you are making are from your own sweat and hard efforts. It is something you personally made with your own hands. And the most important piece is it’s coming from the depth of your heart and soul.
