Conversations Under the Trees

Today, me and my 4-year-old son had long walks outside the hospital.

There were many tree shades. It was a bit windy. We enjoyed listening to the birds’ sounds and people chatting.

Interestingly, during our walking, my son looked at his shadow and mine and said: Mama, look. This metal thing I am wearing makes me taller and bigger. Then I replied to him: Yes honey. It does make you taller and bigger.

In that moment, I was internally praying for his recovery and health and thanking Allah for the daily progress he is making.

I can’t say it is easy to go through all this. There are many ups and downs we had to face throughout this journey.

But watching him adapt, adjust and take small daily baby steps, just make me happy and grateful.

I pray for all our patients to receive cure, relief and strength during their recovery journey and remember that Allah is our truly and only healer.
