Home Sick Inside the Hospital

Today, 6th January 2025 was the day my son’s best friend and neighbor got discharged from the hospital. She is 6 years old. She is such a cute and adorable child. She and my son were so close and attached.

Her bed was facing our bed in the ward. She would always approach us with her iPad and snacks. Whenever she is around snacking, my son also asks to eat what she is eating.

With walking also, he was encouraged to walk more distance to follow where she goes.

I see their friendship and bond as a sweet and precious inspiration and motivation for my son’s recovery and progress.

To say goodbye to them was hard. Her mother cried a lot, and it was an emotionally painful goodbye.

Our stay together was like a family. We used to have meals together, order desserts and snacks online and swap places where I accompany her daughter to the cafeteria, and she sits with my son in the ward.

Now that they are not here, we miss them dearly. Today my son’s mood was not that cool. He got irritated easily. He refused to video chat his sisters and instead he requested to call his favorite hospital friend.

At the end, nothing I can say except to move on, look ahead, cherish the lovely memories and stay in touch with our loved ones.
