Until When it's About Me?

Personalizing things, making situations and people behavior about me. This is a habit that majority of people use. It's about taking the blame for the events and circumstances that happen in our daily lives.

This is especially common in the highly sensitive individuals who sense things in a very deep level. This is when you see a person sensing that something is wrong in the environment. But because the person was very young at that time and didn't have the cognitive understanding, they would start blaming themselves and take all the heavy weight on their bear shoulders.

This is when you notice a person not speaking up and quitely swallow their words. This is when you see a person doing everything and doesn't allow other people to help. Also pleasing behavior is linked with this factor when you observe someone like a puppet, saying yes all the time and trying to make everyone happy and pleased.

The sensitivity of a person can be highly valuable if the person understands it and knows how to use it. But unfortunately many sensitive people see their sensitivity as a weakness and blame themselves for being so sensitive and overwhelmed with strong feelings.

The strong feelings we have are not there to scare us away. Instead, they exist for a reason. They are there to guide us, to show us the way, to protect us and to make us choose the right situations and the right people we wanna spend our time with.

The bottom line of this post is for us to be easy with ourselves. To do regular reflection and awareness of our deep feelings. Understand the panic attacks or the overthinking we go through sometimes. The racing thoughts that just don't stop unless we take a deep breath and close our eyes for a minute. Allow the people to behave and accept that we are just different and can't control people behavior anymore. Let go of the control and allow nature to do it's magic.
