The Power of Your Mind
If you observe your mind and work on it regularly, you realize it has got a lot of untapped potential plus its dramatic effect on you. You need to be aware of both its sides (positive and negative). So that you choose which part you want to utilize and which part you want to strengthen.
The amazing thing about your mind is it doesn’t differentiate between the present and future. Just try imagining a sad thought or moment. Suddenly you see tears fill your eyes as if that moment is actually happening. But it isn’t. It was only an imagined moment in your mind.
Unfortunately, a lot of side effects caused by our current environment that suppress the potential of our mind. For example, the overwhelm of information from the internet, social media, people and work. When your mind absorbs such large amounts of information, it gets paralyzed. It gets overloaded and fatigued. It also gets frightened and sabotaged. Then you wonder: What can I do with all these information? Can I really implement the action steps to execute this information? It is too much. I am scared. What if I fail? What if I can’t do it properly? What if I do mistakes and fall? What if, what if and what if.
Interestingly, when you understand how your mind works, you develop strategies and techniques for its flourishing, nurturing, decluttering and growth. It can be frightening and scary at first. Because it would feel like you are loosing a part of yourself. That is normal. That is how our attachments work.
But later, after doing lots of work and disciplining for your mind, you find mental growth and transformation. You step to the other side confident and straight. You realize a lot of time is actually available for you to practice and execute. You recognize those excuses you used to give yourself were actually your mental tricks to keep you in the same comfortable place.
