Recovering from Emotional Pain

After facing traumatic experiences, a question I like asking is: How can I recover from this emotional pain? What can I do?

Emotional pain often takes time and patience to ease and release. It needs several episodes of processing and detangling. It also requires the support of people with whom you feel comfortable with.

Another tip to remember is the private time you need to reflect and contemplate the emotional pain you are feeling. Good questions to work with here are: What is the reason of this emotional pain? Does this event make any sense? Is the hurt foundational (from childhood) or is it related to the present moment? When does it increase and when it gets buffered? What are the things I can do now to help myself feel better and at ease?

Finally, I don’t say it is easy. But it is definitely doable. Believe in yourself. The feelings you feel are real and not fake. They are your guiding system. They guide you and show you the truth about yourself or people. They remind you and whisper to you to slow down, remember and find the light in your path.
