Living an intentional life!
You might wonder: How can I live life with intentions in mind? Intentions are your motivations and heart purpose when you do anything in life. For example, when you meet your colleague and have a conversation, what is your intention? When you choose the career, what are your intentions behind it?
Many go with life blindly accepting whatever comes their way without thinking and putting the intention element in it. Many say: I just want to live life. I only want to survive. I just want to move on and complete my life living years in this earth and die.
But what if you use your intentions purposefully to fully live your life? Let us say: instead of saying: I would just take this career, this job and this pay offer, you say with intentions: I take this career because I want to learn something important. Or I want this job with this salary because I have a family to feed and support.
Using the same formula in other areas of your life too can be an interesting way of living. Also living with intentions would take you close to your truth. You would hide less because you focus on your intentions and you are not just living life for the sake of living. You have deep heart intentions.
I like this quote I heard once from Oprah: Think intentionally and see your life change. Make sure your intentions are yours and not others. It can be tricky to follow your intentions and maybe disappoint others especially your loved ones. That itself deserves another blog post to write about.
At the end, to live an intentional life, check on your heart. What are your desires and wants? What you aspire to become? What areas in your life that need revisiting of your intentions and personal values? Make sure your intentions are clear and free from hate, jealousy, resentment and negative thoughts. Keep them straightforward and to the point. Don’t make them manipulative or not sure this or that. Know where you stand and what you stand for.
