How to Balance Your Mental and Emotional Spectrums?

Because I am a deeply sensitive person, I sense emotions deeply from myself and others too.

A good question to ask here is: How can I balance my emotions and not allow them drive my life today? A common mistake we unknowingly do is being triggered emotionally and forget to analyse the situation with logic and common sense.

Let me give you an example to illustrate. Let us say you have got an appointment with the doctor. The doctor tells you have got a life threatening disease and you need to start with surgery treatment as soon as possible. If you get triggered emotionally, you would be scared, fearful and probably go ahead with the doctor’s recommendations and start the treatment straight away.

But if you refer back to balancing your mental and emotional spectrums, you would take your time, seek for a second third and fourth medical opinions. And finally you calmly take the decision that suits you best.

This example shows how you could balance these two personal spectrums we operate with daily.

So how about you? What areas you see yourself getting emotionally triggered? What can you do in that situation to get a better result?
