Financial Freedom
You may think financial freedom is when you have more money or earn more income or when you are a millionaire. Actually it is not. It rather means you understood your numbers well (your expenses, income, assets. liabilities and cashflow) and have put your efforts and energy into the right place which is assets.
Majority of us hold regular jobs that produce monthly salaries which for many could be the end of the scenario. However your numbers game doesn’t stop there. You receiving a monthly paycheck, spending it to pay your bills and mortgage payments and then waiting to repeat the cycle again is a limited way of living.
But if we decide to be in full charge of our finances and say: no body is going to rescue me here. No friend, or colleague, or company or government would fix my financial problems. Its on me. And then proceed to ask: What can I do? What are other options or possibilities here? How can I afford my living expenses? That then would open your mind up to improve your financial wellbeing.
My favourite author is this area is Robert Kiyosaki. I can’t forget his words when he said: the assets (rental properties) we bought produce monthly income and as a result provided us the affordability to live life and pay bills without being slaves to regular jobs and monthly salaries. That shows that the number (whatever it is) you receive once every month is not it. You have got to complete your financial story and make a fulfilled and empowering ending.
At the end financial freedom starts with a mindset first. Recheck your mentality towards finances. Review your thoughts about money. What is an illusion and what is the truth. Then choose the truth. Don’t settle for the illusion. Once your recognise it, see it and become aware of it, you would eventually reach to a point of taking daily responsible actions.
