Coming out of my comfort zone
With my 1st book published, printed and ready to sell in the market, I think: How can I spread the ideas of my book? What do I say? How can I make it appropriately resonate with people? Who are my people? Where can I find my tribe?
I believe such ideas are not for everyone but for a specific group who share similar interests, problems and conversations.
To spread the word of mouth about whatever project you are at, you need to be vulnerable and come out of your comfort zone. You need to expect rejection and be humble enough to receive up and down feedback. You need also to have a strong sense of yourself and a solid foundation of self-love and self-respect.
While I think of spreading ideas of my book, I picture myself saying statements like: This book could help families who face this specific problem. Or: This dialogue is similar to certain ideas mentioned in the book. Or: We could talk more about this topic and explore further avenues.
Of course, several thought patterns are expected to boil up here like struggling for perfection, hiding to stay invisible, avoiding rejection and critic and preventing mistakes.
Finally, I see this as both inward and outward self-transformation journey. Internally you are learning and recovering so much about yourself while externally you are exploring your impact on others and how you could relate, interrelate and engage with others.
