Back to Work But….!

This is the time we all are back to our academic duties in colleges and universities.

I always feel happy and honored to see students coming back to the university where we are ready to serve and help them.

Unfortunately, this time of the year, September 2024, is the time my son’s scoliosis and kyphosis worsened to the peak.

We are expected to start another kind of treatment for him where we would be admitted in the hospital for 2 to 3 months.

Lots of thoughts rushing through my mind right now. One part of me is excited and eager to go back to work, meet my colleagues and interact with the students.

But another part of me is cautious, worried and scared of the next phase my son will go through in his scoliosis journey.

Nothing else to be said here except: Allah is there. Allah owns everything. Allah is the controller and ruler. We can’t bring benefit or avoid harm for ourselves. Allah is the one who does everything. And we are here to take on the path, fulfill our destinies and experience our humanity.
