Alone but not Alone!

At times you think you are alone. There are situations although with people around you and busy schedules, still that inner emptiness we feel it. We inter-relate with others. We communicate. We connect with our friends and family. We complete our daily tasks and schedules. Then there comes the feeling of alone, isolated, not interesting enough, not worthy of others’ attention and not proving enough.

This feeling is very normal with human beings. Especially with the fast paced life we live at the moment. Personally such moments of aloneness can give you a chance to do self-discovery and inner-exploration. We think we already know who we are and what we are supposed to do. But actually we don’t know.

When you feel alone and bombarded with interruptions, just go outside. I think the nature is the best place where you can go dive into stillness and presence. I remember many stories from the Holy Book of Quran where people discovered who they really are when they were alone such as Maryam, the messengers like Mousa, Mohammed, Younis, Yousuf (Allah peace and blessings be upon them) and others.

Reading such stories and spending quality time with yourself outside can give you a great companion and interesting reflections. You may feel alone now but actually you are not. You are accompanied with his blessings, divineness and angels all the time. Just look for the whispers and signals.
