A Moment of Courage and Bravery
Today, 25th December 2024, in hospital, my admitted son met the physiotherapist around 11.30 am for his daily exercise.
After he completed the bed exercises, it was time to stand and walk. The moment he started walking, his doctors arrived and happily watched him walking with our support.
Then his doctor requested the physiotherapist to let go of his pelvic fixtures and let him walk with my support only. Amazingly he walked with lots of encouragement, praise and joy.
What surprised me even more was his persistence to walk more when his doctors and physiotherapist were around. I guess the collective support, encouragement and enthusiasm gave him that extra push to walk more.
All of us continued telling him: You are brave. Uplift your feet. You can do this. You are strong. You have made it this far. Continue walking. All this is making you more stronger.
Lastly, I see this moment full of courage, bravery, strength and hope. Previously I would wonder: how he can walk freely with all these heavy metal fixtures around him. But today, it indicated that nothing is impossible. Don’t be fooled or tricked by challenges and difficulties. Because in the middle of all that, sparks of possibility, miracles and transformation happen opposite of your expectations.
