What is Me Time?

As a mother, a wife, a full time lecturer, a daughter, a sister and a responsible citizen, we mashed up with the daily responsibilities.

In the middle of those responsibilities, sometimes I ask myself: Where am I in all this mess? Where is the time I dedicate to only me?

It can be hard at times to find the me time. I consider it as your personal cup. How is your cup? Is it empty, half full or overfull?

From person to person, it is different how to fill that personal cup. Maybe to you is by spending time outside with your best friend. Probably for others it is by being alone in nature or engaging in a hobby.

I perceive the me time as one of the essentials of a person’s overall mental and emotional welbeing. You may incorporate it in the first hour of the morning before everybody wakes up or maybe in the evening when family are resting or chilling. It depends on your personal preference and taste.

For me personally, I prefer the early morning before the sun rise. My favourite activities during that time are writing my blog post, reading a book, exercising and dressing up for the day.
