The Value of Friendships

Friendship is something I personally struggle with from a very young age. I remember having only one friend at a time in school.

Issues like the lack of trust, insufficient childhood bonding and uncontained feelings often result to difficulties with forming new friendships.

Nowadays, friendship to me is an unconditional container. You put in it your struggles, wishes, dreams, new ideas and the day to day conversations. True and real friendships are those whom you might not meet regularly but when you meet again, it is like you have been seeing each other every day.

In such friendships, I see total acceptance, recognition and unconditional love. Also understanding each other’s needs is active in such kind of friendships.

So if you struggle with creating or maintaining friendship relationships today, remember this. You are not alone. There is that other person who also faces similar struggles as you. Don’t worry about your sensitivity or about being hurt again. Life is all about new experiences, meeting new people and living life fully with all its ups and downs.
