Obsessing and Worrying What if!
There is this common old thought that keeps creeping in which is: What if I am being caught? What if they find out I did a mistake? What if I get into trouble? What if my whole world would crush and I lose everything?
This is common for people who developed the worrying and obsessing behaviour from a very young age.
A good antidote to cure this thinking pattern is to dive deep into your intentions and motivations. What are your intentions? What motivates you to do what you do today? What are your underlying values? What drives you?
Doing this soul searching process gives you a sense of peace, calmness, reassurance and confidence. It gives you a basis and a solid ground to stand on. It also clarifies why you behave the way you do and detangles any mental confusion.
So the next time you worry and predict the worst what if scenario, grab your journal and write down your intentions and motivations. For any scenario happening in your life, write from the bottom of your heart: What drives you? What motivates you? What pushes you to do what you do today?
