Letting go of resistence

Resistance is a habit of the mind. It means when you resist something coming your way either because that something is uncomfortable, risky, or because you don’t have sufficient information about it. Resistance comes in different forms and situations. When you see a person resisting a new job, that is resistance. Someone complaining of life, work and family, that is also a type of resistance.

Interestingly when we ask the question: why resist? I am resisting what actually? What is the thing underneath my resistence? These questions can reveal to you the real reasons behind your resistence. Some reasons could be because you are scared, or nervous, or doubtful, or worrying, or negatively thinking of the situation. There could be many reasons behind our resistence. The reflective process to explore it and understand it can help gradually release the resistance. It’s not easy but possible.

Some might wonder. I am comfortable with my resistence. I don’t want to process it or understand it or do anything about it. This is actually a personal discovery journey by choice. It is a personal choice to dive deep into the mind habits and techniques. It helps the person search for meaning and purpose in life and to get unstuck with the life experiences that we face sometimes throughout our life journey. All the best to the people who are in this personal discovery journey.
