If I just let go…

There is this question I like asking myself which is: If I just let go, how would things shift for me? How would scenarios be like? How would my career look like? How would my relationships transform?

When thinking about letting go, I remember the common attachments we normally attach to like believing we are special, holding on to our specific and strict expectations, fixating on what is right and wrong, holding on to childhood fears and worries and referring to our unchecked beliefs and values.

Letting go is really going above those attachments. It removes those common stereotypes we humans hold like fearing each other, trying to fit in the tribes, struggling to meet each other’s expectations, hiding our individual and authentic true selves and living life just to survive and move on.

The thing we need to remember in the process of letting go is the pain, discomfort and inconvenience feeling we and others get. It is like stepping outside your comfort zone. It is also like taking an emotional risk not knowing the outcome.

You can say its like: This is who I really am. Honest, authentic and genuine. Yes I disappoint you. You get hurt and offended by my actions. Yes I am not meeting your expectations. Yes I don’t fit inside your mental and emotional perspectives. And that’s totally fine.

So think about it for a moment. If you just let go of your special and serious self, how would your life look like today?
