How to cure migraine?

Many ask this question. Is there a cure for migraine? Migraine is a long-term illness that targets a part or full part of the head. It comes along with different symptoms like dizziness, nausea, vomiting, blurry vision, sensitivity to noise and light and sometimes severe pain in different sides of the head.

With regards to curing migraine, there are many arguments about it. The common thread that brings the arguments together is the need to create a lifestyle that adjusts to the cycles of migraine. This lifestyle includes a diet plan, working out and rest and leisure activities that can buffer the effects of migraine attacks.

Medications sometimes could be used when the headache is just starting out. But if it crossed the threshold, it might be too late to prevent the pain from worsening. However, when the medication is used excessively even with the regular pain, that could cause long-term effects for other parts of the body.

A convenient lifestyle could be different according to the different needs of the person. According to my personal experience with this illness, the most factor that contributes to worsen the migraine attacks is the stress and exposure to the sun and heat. So when creating the lifestyle, I always think about ways to reduce my stress levels and the times I go out in the afternoon.

My experience with migraine started from the time I was a teenager till today. I look at it as a call from the body says: There is something I am missing. Either for my physical health or mental wellbeing. Accordingly you go take small steps to recover from the pain.

Unfortunately the society and culture gravitates towards the quick-fix approach either through medication or by spending lots of money and joining an expensive wellness club. I don’t see migraine as something that can be quickly fixed and resolved. The human body is like a garage that stores all the stresses we fill it with. Later when the body is overflowing with stresses and stored tensions, it comes out physically in the form of physical pain.

To recover from the pain, it needs sufficient time and space. The quick-fix approach could temporarily give you a relief but in the long-run, it could cause other diseases or problems.
