Hope and Resilience

When you face a crisis in life whether it is an illness, a job loss, a financial crisis or the death of your loved one, how can we hold on to hope and trust in his divinity?

When I am in a situation, cautious, don’t know what to expect, not sure what is coming our way and sad of the suffering you see your loved one is going through, I like to use the big thinking perspective mentioned in the Holy Book of Quran.

When Allah refers to the fact that the creation of the sky and earth is bigger than the creation of a human being. When he refers to the life transitions from start to end and start again. All these prove that whatever we are going through or facing is nothing in front of the only one God.

Sometimes we forget. Especially when we dwell in sadness, sorrow, grieve and frustration, we forget that we are not alone. We are being watched and observed. We are tested and checked deeply inside our hearts and chests. Nothing in this short temporary life passes by without being recorded and written in our book.

All these reflections give me hope and resilience to not give up, to keep going, to hold on to hope and faith and believe that this shall also pass.
