Combatting self-doubt with action

Self-doubt is a common label we attach to our feelings. When we feel something, we blame our selves. It must be us. We have to fix something in us.

In such a context, I like this idea I learned from Dr. Schwartz in his book, The Magic of Thinking Big, when he suggests to face our fears and doubts with regular and daily actions. However, if you keep quite, you make the self-doubt grow stronger.

To practice the idea in this post, think of one area in your current life where the self-doubt is active. It can be you starting a business, changing your career, gathering a community or whatever area you choose.

Then make a list of actionable steps you can take today to combat the self-doubt and grow your self-confidence.

For example, you choose the area of starting a business. The action steps could be finding the type of business of your interest, identifying the role you wanna take in your business (CEO, owner, marketer, maker, seller, etc) and probably gathering your team to help you facilitate your business.

This is just one example. You may use the same application process in any other area of your life to combat the self-doubt.
