Can’t Do What You Wanna Do?

There are situations you find yourself stuck. Stereotypes and cultural myths that shape those situations and make you obliged to behave in a specific way.

To understand what is happening in an objective way, I like going inwards. How do you feel inside? Do you feel contracted or spacious? What sensations you feel around your throat, chest and heart? Those are signs that indicate the applicability and practicality of the event happening.

Besides, there is this book I am reading which is titled: The magic of thinking big. The author in the book suggests that your mind is your own personal property. No one has control and power over your mind but you. It also mentions that your mind is a memory bank where you deposit daily thoughts and statements.

Just understanding those important facts about yourself and your precious mind gives you lots of power, autonomy and independency over yourself and your life.

Don’t settle to the word “can’t”. Don’t take in other people mental rubbish. Whatever happens, you have got every right to analyse it, process it, understand it, make sense of it and decide whether it is applicable to you or not.
